GRAIN OF LIGHT

GRAIN OF LIGHT

Mikiya TAKIMOTO

Publisher: Seigensha

Born in Aichi Japan in 1974, Mikiya Tokimoto’s Grain of Light published by Seigensha contains a stunning collection of images depicting the oceans waves. Framed within a backdrop of both black and white coloured pages, the stark colors of blues and whites of the waves lay gently against each other where frothy tendrils and large clouds of sculpted crests of seawater are captured here by Tokimoto. The resulting effect is wholly experiential, bridging the gap of a captured physical space far removed from the viewer and captivating the audience within an immersive reflection of the sublime.
